Specialty: Gene Silencing (RNAi and microRNA in Plants and Animals) and Plant Biotechnology. Currently, Dr. Tang focuses on five general fields: (1) Plant and animal gene silencing, (2) miRNA bioinformatics, designing and experimental testing, (3) miRNA profiling, functions, and regulation of target gene expression, (4) Plant abiotic stresses, and (5) Plant natural products.
